Original Bandai Digimon IC/Data link digivice

Photobucket

Data Link Digivice

The Data Link Digivice is the Bandai America version of the Digivice iC. It combines aspects of a regular v-pet with the quest-based gameplay of previous Digivices. The Data Link, like the iC, allows you to use a sensor atop the device to obtain new items. The Data Link and other toys in the Digimon Data Squad toyline come with chips you can use to get items, or you can just scan your fingers.

The Data Link allows you to select from the three main partner Digimon in Digimon Savers—Agumon, Gaomon, and Lalamon—as your partner Digimon. Once a partner Digimon is chosen, it cannot be changed until the game is complete. The partner Digimon only evolve during battle and will not remain in their evolved forms. Higher stages of evolution are attained through leveling up with the training minigames. You must also take care of your partner by feeding it, turning the lights out when it sleeps, and debugging its messes (a censored version of flushing poo), but this has no impact on your Digimon’s performance in battle.

Set-up and General Game Play:

The first button scrolls between selections, the second button confirms, and the third cancels. You begin the game by inputting your name (up to 5 characters) and the current time. After that, you select your partner Digimon. The menus are as follows:

Charge: This function uses the sensor on top of the Data Link.
DNA Charge: Place the sensor on your hand or something that conducts electricity to get various items.
Plate Charge: Use the chips that come with the Data Link (or other toys in the Data Squad toyline) to get various items.
Status: You can view your Digimon's stats and inventory here.
Status: Here, you can view your Digimon's Type, DNA Type, Hunger Meter, Digimeter, Attack Level, Defense Level, victories, level of completion of the game, evolutionary levels, and your username.
DNA: View your inventory of stored DNA.
Item: View and use your inventory of items.
Point: View your inventory of points.
Food: View your inventory of food and feed your Digimon.
Medical: Choose from the Bandage or Medicine to heal your Digimon as necessary.
Care
Debug: Flush your Digimon’s “messes.”
Light: Turn the light on and off so your Digimon can sleep.
Minigames: Play games to raise your Digimon’s stats and earn points.
Training: These minigames raise your Digimon’s stats.
Point: These minigames raise your Digimon’s points.
Coliseum: Fight in various coliseums. The more you beat, the more you unlock. Coliseum victories count towards the percentage of the game you have completed.
Shop: Use Points to buy items for your Digimon.
Connect: Connect with other Data Links. The Data Link will not connect with any previous model of Digivice or any of the Japanese versions.
C-Battle: Battle another Data Link.
C-Item: Trade items with another Data Link.
Point: Trade points with another Data Link.
????: Unknown function.

With the exception of the Coliseum battles, battles are randomly occurring and you will be given missions to complete. These missions involve battling other Digimon. Occasionally, enemies will evolve. The battle menu is as follows:

Digivolve: Evolve your Digimon. You MUST have DNA of a type corresponding to your partner in order to evolve.
Upgrade: Use other DNA to enhance your Digimon’s stats.
Special: Use special items to evolve your Digimon into an alternate Mega form.
Help: Call in one of your other partner Digimon for assistance. The partner will come in and launch an attack at the enemy. This rarely does much damage.
Battle: Attack without doing anything special.
Escape: Run from the battle. Using this option counts as a loss.

Bandai Digimon Pendulum Cycle Ver 9 Wind Guardian

Ver 9 - Wind guardian

The Pendulum Cycle is a virtual pet based on the original Pendulums. It includes the Pendulum shaking feature for training, and Jogressing can be performed with other Cycles. The LCD screen is the original small size, but uses the side-scrolling style menu (common in the items with larger screens).

The Pendulum Cycle has three main features making it different from other Digimon Pets. Your Digimon grows, evolves and dies within a much shorter time than on other items. It can reverse evolve back to the Child stage. And random battles can appear when doing nothing, and must be dealt with.

Each Pendulum Cycle contains the Digimon from the .0 and the .5 version of the Pendulum it was based on, plus some other unconfirmed Digimon. Ancient Digimon have been reported when Jogressing two Ultimates.

Version 7 - Pendulum 2.x
Version 8 - Pendulum 3.x
Version 9 - Pendulum 4.x
Version 10 - Pendulum 5.x

Sound: Hit A and C at the same time to disable to sound.
Pause feature: The Pendulum Cycle can be paused by going to the clock screen, hitting A and C at the same time to put the clock on SET, and leaving it in that position.

Scale: There is the usual age/weight screen, followed by the Hunger hearts.
The Strength is different, made up of two screens, Training with four square boxes followed by the Strength hearts. When all four Training squares are filled, the next increase will fill one Strength heart (and empty the squares).
There is no DP shown. The next screen is the battle record, showing 3-digit counters for wins and total battles, in addition to the percentages. The last screen shows the Digimon's type, and its Battle/Jogress abilities.
Food: There are two options. The first option is a piece of bread, which will fill one heart of Hunger. The second option is, strangely, a piece of meat, which will fill one square of Training.
Training: There are two options.
Normal: This is a game which is different on each version, but the rules are the same. Shake the Cycle when it says "Count", and your Digimon will attempt the game with varying degrees of success according to the number of times you shook. A perfect performance fills four squares of Training (not quite one Strength heart), and an adequate performance fills one. (This means the Cycle requires more training than other pets to stay healthy.)
Battle: This option allows you to battle another Digimon without having to connect.
Connect: There are three options.
VS battle
Scan (US D-Terminal)
Jogress
Toilet: The same as always, this clears poops from the screen.
Lights: Use this function to turn the lights off when your Digimon goes to sleep.
Medical: There are two options. Use the first if your Digimon is sick, and the second if it is injured after a battle.

Bandai Digimon D-Cyber VER 2

Digimon D-Cyber Ver 2

D-Cyber Description

The D-Cyber is the Bandai Asia version of the Pendulum X in a different, flip phone style case. Unlike the Pendulum X, all onscreen text is in English, with some Digimon having names that are not used anywhere else. (Example: Dorumon becomes Dolmon, Gaioumon becomes Samudramon.) Instead of the XAI system, the D-Cyber calls it the DAI system. The LCD screen is larger (with bigger pixels) and the Digimon paces about the screen more quickly. The D-Cyber also offers the option to save a favorite Digimon for use in battle at a later date.

Where the Pendulum X has the new-style three-pronged connector, the D-Cyber has the old-style two-pronged connector, meaning that it can battle with older V-pets and Digivices.

Each version of the D-Cyber corresponds to a version of the Pendulum X, and all of the Pendulum X evolution requirements work on the D-Cyber.

Pushing the B button during ordinary gameplay will bring up the clock. Press A and B to reset the clock. Sound may be turned off by pressing A and C.

The D-Cyber may be paused by pressing the B and the C buttons at the same time.

The menu options are as follows:

Digimon: Check the status of your Digimon. The lights on the DAI indicate your Digimon’s status.

Meal: Feed food and other items to your Digimon.

Training: You have two options.

Training: Train your Digimon.
Quest: Travel a map, using the DAI as a die to see how many spaces you will move. This is how you obtain items which will be vital to your Digimon’s evolution.

Toilet: Flush away your Digimon’s little messes.

Medicine: There are two options here. “Hurt” is for when your Digimon has the little skull hanging around its head. “Sick” is for when your Digimon has a little speech bubble with “…” inside.

Light: Turn the lights on or off.

Clone: Save a copy of your current Digimon in one of four D-Docks. The saved Digimon may be used in battle later.

Connect: There are four options.

Battle: Battle with a compatible device. The D-Cyber’s instructions claim that it can battle with all Japanese and American electronics made prior to the Pendulum X.
Trade: Trade items with another D-Cyber.
Jogress: Jogress your Digimon with another D-Cyber.
Scan: Allows a D-Spirit to scan your data.

Dice: Use your D-Cyber as a die for use in a board game.
